According to court sources, Zafar Alam is an accused in five cases of Chakaria Police Station and two of Pekua Police Station. Out of these, 14 days remand has been granted in 5 cases of Chakaria Police Station and 4 days in 2 cases of Pekua Police Station.। Zafar Alam was taken to the dock at 9:10 am today. After hearings in seven cases, he was taken down from the dock at 9:37 am and taken to Chakaria Police Station.

Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) of Chakaria Senior Judicial Magistrate Court Md. Golam Sarwar told Prothom Alo that four murder cases were registered in Chakaria Police Station and two in Pekua Police Station.And in a case under the Explosive Substances Control Act of Chakaria Police Station, the investigating officers separately sought a 24-day remand for Zafar Alam. After the hearing, the court granted a total of 18 days of remand in these cases.

Chakaria Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Shafiqul Islam said that former MP Zafar Alam has been brought to Chakaria Police Station from Chakaria Court for a 14-day remand.Once the remand ends, he will be produced before the Chakaria Senior Judicial Magistrate Court.
